We are Dog Days Consulting
Rhonda is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager and a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional with over 15 years of veterinary management experience. Being in a busy animal hospital managing the day-to-day operations is where she discovered her passion for training and systems organization.
She understands that efficiency has an immediate impact on the bottom line. Moving around as a military wife she was able to manage multiple animal hospitals throughout her career.
She has a degree in Business Administration as well as her CVPM certification. She enjoys teaching teams on how to implement successful social media marketing practices. Rhonda enjoys working with social media and other technology platforms to improve hospital exposure and client engagement.
James (Jay) is an accomplished IT Professional. After a very successful 20 year career in the United States Marine Corps, Jay started his second career in the IT and Networking Industry.
Jay has a BS in Information Technology and Networking. He currently works in the IT industry as a project manager developing virtual reality training modules for his clients. His interests lie in virtual reality training systems and game development geared explicitly towards military operations.
On the veterinary side, Jay often travels with Rhonda to speaking events and training events.

They have a house full of love and pets. She is the proud pet parent to 3 dogs (Dottie, Winnie, Stetson), 2 hedgehogs (Breve & Diesel), 1 very cute skinny pig (Bugsy), and 4 tortoises (Bubba, Toodles, Crash, Sully). Last but certainly not least, especially if you ask her, is Dixie the kitten.
She has battled Epilepsy and won! After having 13 surgeries, and having to give up her career as a teacher, she has found working from home for Dog Days Consulting to be very rewarding.
How did we get our name?
Easy…we LOVE our pugs. All of our animals are central to our lives. Our “first” was our Pug named Sugar she passed away this past April at the age of 15 years old, she was our sweet girl. (Pictured below riding in the pink basket with her dad!) We got to be her pet parents since she was 6 weeks old. Rest In Peace Sugar Dee Bell Sept 2004-April 2019.
We have a menagerie of other pets in our household and love them all dearly. We currently have Kona the Pug and 3 rescue cats. Our business name had to reflect our purpose and our inspiration! We work hard for our clients and our own family, so Dog Days it is…
